Writing
Some people are born writers; others, not so much.
Is your project an essay? A novel? A short-story collection? A nonfiction book? An opinion piece? Poetry? A doctoral dissertation? No matter. Whether you are at square one with no words on paper yet, or if you already have a complete typed draft, I can help make your composition as effective as possible. No job is too big, or too small. The point is to ensure that you effectively communicate what you want to say through your words on the printed page. From a minor polishing of your draft to complete ghostwriting, I can do it all.
Editing
Developmental Editing, Line-Editing, Proofreading
Editing is a critical part of the process in creating any kind of composition – whether it’s a song, poetry, a novel, an essay…anything.
Developmental editing could involve working through ideas for the project, getting the important thoughts on paper, reordering paragraphs or chapters, adding transitions, and filling in gaps in the narrative with more verbiage.
The line editing process applies adjustments for better flow, tightens the narrative to make it more concise, fixes issues like run-on sentences, and increases overall readability. Proofreading addresses more “mechanical” issues like grammar, style, punctuation, and spelling.

That’s me – Boris Boland.
I’m a professional writer-editor with 20-plus years of experience in a variety of roles and across different platforms. More important, I can come up with lots of ideas (yes, “big ideas”) to help you improve your product.
